At CITY CHURCH Bakersfield, and CITY CHURCH Fairfield, we are dedicated to reaching out to the local communities to spread the love and hope of Jesus Christ! You are invited to join a family like no other! Through our various ministries and programs, we strive to positively impact the lives and communities around us in the most beneficial and best possible ways!

Our Lead Pastors
Pastor Scott Mulvey is the Lead Pastor of CITY CHURCH Bakersfield Allen and South Gate, and CITY CHURCH Fairfield, CA. Pastor Scott was born in El Paso, Texas, and he was raised in California where he spent many years working and ministering in Los Angeles. Pastor Scott has taught Bible college courses and spent hours studying the Word of God. As a long-time Bi-Vocational pastor, he has gained a vast business background that God has given him to build many successful businesses and ministries. Pastor Scott has a huge heart for people. His easy teaching style is full of deep insight that makes his messages easy to understand. Pastor Scott Mulvey is conscientious and very committed to what God has called him to do. He has planted churches in San Francisco, Discovery Bay, and Brentwood CA before taking on Fairfield and most recently Bakersfield. Pastor Scott is ordained by and is the Northern CA/NV Superintendent for Grace International which has churches worldwide! (https://gracechurches.tv/) He and his wife Deborah have been married for 35 years and have raised 5 children.
Pastor Deborah Mulvey serves with Scott Mulvey as lead pastor at CITY CHURCH and is also ordained with Grace International. Deborah was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to California as a young adult. While working full-time, Deborah has served as a Church Administrator, Internet Specialist, Worship Leader, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Ladies and Teen Girls Group Leader, etc. Deborah is a gifted singer, teacher, and counselor with a degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco.
